Beschreibung

The Fanatic Diamond 10'6" is a composite (hard) all-round paddleboard with a genuinely surf-friendly feel. It’s designed to feel calm and stable underfoot for everyday cruising, but with the outline, rail shape and fin setup to make small-wave sessions feel natural too.

If you’re ready to step up from an inflatable (or you simply want that direct, lively feel you only get from a hard board), the Diamond is a brilliant “one board that does most things” option — especially for paddlers in the sweet spot rider weight range.

Where it sits in the Fanatic range

Choose the Diamond 10'6" if you want an all-round board that cruises nicely on flat water but still feels playful when the water gets interesting — harbours, estuaries, boat wash, and small surf.

Choose an inflatable instead if you need easy storage/transport (boot of the car, cupboard at home). A great all-round alternative is the Fanatic Fly Air Premium or the value-focused Fanatic Fly Air Pure.

Choose a dedicated surf SUP if waves are the main goal. The Fanatic AllWave Surf SUP is more compact and turn-focused, while the Fanatic Stylemaster Bamboo Surf SUP leans into classic longboard style.

Why choose the Diamond 10'6"?

  • Confident stability without feeling barge-like — 31" wide with a well-balanced deck and rail volume.
  • More glide than shorter “surf shapes” — easier distance, easier pace, less zig-zag.
  • Surfy handling when you want it — thruster fin setup and bottom shape help it roll rail-to-rail smoothly.
  • Perfect “upgrade board” — that crisp composite feel makes technique improvements feel immediate.
  • Windsurf option built in — a mast foot insert for relaxed light-wind cruising (with the right rig).

Want to try one before you commit?

Book a session at our SUP Test Centre in Southampton and we’ll help you compare shapes properly on sheltered water. It’s the fastest way to know if a composite upgrade is right for you.

Is the Fanatic Diamond 10'6" suitable for beginners?

Yes — as long as you’re within (or close to) the recommended rider weight range and you’re happy with a hard board. At 31" wide it’s stable, but it will feel more “direct” than an inflatable. If you want maximum forgiveness and easy storage, consider an inflatable all-rounder like the Fly Air Premium.

What’s the main benefit of going composite (hard board) over inflatable?

Feel and response. A composite board accelerates more cleanly, holds speed better, and feels more connected in turns — which is why many paddlers upgrade once they’ve nailed the basics. This guide breaks it down: Ready to Upgrade?

Can I use it in small waves?

Absolutely. The Diamond’s thruster fin setup, surf-inspired rocker and rail shape make it far more wave-friendly than a pure “flatwater cruiser”. If waves are going to be your main focus, the AllWave is the more dedicated surf option.

Does it come with a paddle, bag or pump?

No — this is a composite board rather than an inflatable package. We recommend pairing it with a lighter paddle like the Fanatic Diamond 35 Slim 2 Piece Paddle, plus a leash and a protective travel bag.

Can I windsurf it?

It has a mast foot insert, so you can fit a windsurf rig for light-wind cruising. It’s a fun crossover feature for sheltered water, but it’s not a dedicated windsurf race board — if you want help matching rig size, just ask and we’ll point you in the right direction.
