Compatibility and setup advice

The X Series is designed to work within the Code Foils modular system, so you will need a compatible Code mast, fuselage and rear stabiliser to build a complete foil. Rear stabiliser choice will make a noticeable difference to pitch stability, turning speed and pump feel, so it is worth getting the pairing right rather than simply choosing the smallest or fastest tail.

For most true beginners, no. The X Series is aimed more at progressing and experienced riders who already foil consistently and want more turn response, surf control and performance. If you are still working on your first flights, a more all-round and forgiving foil will usually be the better route.

Which X Series size should I choose?

Choose the smaller sizes if you are lighter, riding with more power, using Foil Drive in surf, towing, or chasing higher speed and tighter turns. Choose the larger sizes if you want more support, more drive, easier lift or a more versatile setup for mixed wing, wave and downwind use.
