Axis Frank Mini Dart Foil board
Beschreibung
Sitting between the stubbier AXIS Frank Dart and the longer Mako range, the Mini Dart is the "all-round" mid-length option. It solves the common frustration of technical boards feeling "corky" or unstable by using a narrower, longer outline that works with the water. Whether you are struggling to get enough board speed for a Parawing start or you want a Foil Drive platform that doesn't drag, the Mini Dart is designed to get you planning and onto the foil earlier than a standard hybrid board.
Why the Mini Dart makes sense for your progression:
- Effortless Take-offs: The displacement nose transitions into a flat mid-section, allowing the board to glide and build speed quickly on the surface before the foil takes over.
- Unexpected Stability: Despite the narrow widths, the length and volume distribution provide a stable platform that tracks straight, making paddling and starting much less fatiguing.
- Forgiving Touchdowns: If you drop off the foil, the refined rails and nose shape help the board skip and "rebound" off the water rather than sticking and nose-diving.
- Versatile Crossover: This is a genuine "quiver killer" for the UK; it’s long enough to paddle into small bumps prone, yet compact enough to feel nimble once flying with a wing.

Which volume should I choose? For Parawinging or learning Foil Drive starts, we recommend a volume roughly 5–10L above your body weight. For experienced prone or wing foilers, you can comfortably drop to 10L below your weight to maximize the board's agility once flying.
What is the difference between the Dart and the Mini Dart? The Mini Dart is longer and more focused on glide and early planning—ideal for "starts." The standard AXIS Frank Dart is stubbier and more "surfy," designed for tighter carves and riding in the pocket of a wave.
Can I demo this board?Yes. We keep the AXIS Frank range in our Test Centre. We highly recommend trying a mid-length board back-to-back with a traditional shape to feel the difference in take-off speed.
